　　Huaibei mining area has a rich deposits of coal-series-associated hard kaolin resources. The proved reserves of Zhahe mining area only is 340 million ton and the prospective reserves is 480 million ton. The mineral deposit is stable with high quality ore. Huaibei Golden Rock Kaolin Co., Ltd which specializes in general development of kaolin and other coal-series-associated resources, belongs to Huaibei Mining Industry Group and has a fixed assets of about RMB 100 million. Its bank credit is of 3A class. The company has had 2 kaolin-supplying bases and 4 deep-processing factories. Its total annual production capacity of kaolin is about 100,000 ton. About 30 kinds of its products (such as precision casting sand、superfine calcined powder、poly aluminum chloride、refractory fibre and so on) have been widely used in precision casting、painting、plastics、rubber、paper、environmental protection areas and have been exported to more than 10 countries and zones as Japan, Italy, France, Indonesia and Thailand. Its precision casting sand powder has acquired the title of “free-of –inspection product” from National Precision Casting Association. Its production line for precision casting sand of which the annual production capacity is about 30,000 ton has got new breakthrough both in production technique and quality and has got patent right. In February 2002, it has been reported to National Economy and Trade Committee as a technique-innovation project. The superfine calcined kaolin product passed the provincial appraisal in August 2002 and according to test of National Slurrying and Paper Manufacturing Accademe, the quality of the product is better than foreign representative calcined kaolin and is suitable for high-class paper industries as copperplate paper and painting paper.
